A Super Stolie show is a musical exhibition of creativity that will inspire children to embrace their own uniqueness through singing, dancing, art-making, talent-showcasing and doing the Rockstar Jump!  This captivating show will engage kids of all ages and get the whole family singing along.

Stolie (Rebecca Stoelinga) grew up in Deerfield, Illinois and currently resides in Chicago.  She learned piano as a child and taught herself guitar at 16. While pursuing a degree in music education at Illinois Wesleyan University, Stolie was writing, recording and performing her original music on voice, guitar and piano.

After three original adult album releases and years of touring the country as a pop-rock singer-songwriter, Stolie later found ways to continue music involvement, but to stay local — working music publicity for Bloodshot Records, teaching guitar and piano lessons, and hammering out the cover tunes at bars from Wrigleyville to Wisconsin.

Super Stolie debuted on the children’s music scene in 2006 when a friend asked her to play family-friendly tunes at a fundraiser for her child’s school.  In early 2009, Stolie had written enough children's material for an album and released When I Grow Up, her first collection of original music for children.  Recorded in her home studio, Super Stolie performed on guitar, piano, ukulele, bass, harmonica, djembe, and programmed all the beats with Apple’s Garageband program.  The result is a full band-sounding kindie album, glittered with Stolie’s lyrical wit and has parents laughing, toddlers tongue-twisting, and has also proven to lull the little ones to sleep in the back of the car.

In support of the album and this new musical endeavor, Super Stolie continued to play countless birthday parties, introduced herself to libraries and park districts, and landed regular performances/music-teaching gigs at local play places and schools to share her children's music whenever possible.

Super Stolie released Press Play!, her second collection of original children’s music, in November 2012, featuring silly and glitzy pop tunes.  Dedicated fans contributed to the making of this album via crowd-funding platform, Kickstarter.

Her third children's album, Family in Harmony, visualizes the world through the eyes of a dreamer, embracing the beauty, rhythm and harmony that colors everything we see and do. With a intentional literary focus in the songs’ compositions, the album proves educational for children, as learning the words to these songs infuses healthy concepts and encourages proper pronunciation and articulation.  The production took a more organic turn as Stolie plays all the instruments you’ll hear on this album -- acoustic guitar, piano, ukulele, mandolin, melodica, harmonica, bass guitar, tambourine, shakers, xylophone, hand claps, lap pats, beatbox and a whole slew of intricate vocal harmonies.

In 2017, to celebrate 10 years of making music for families and children, Stolie enlisted DJ Richie Heller to remix tracks from her three previous albums.  The album, 10, is a 30-minute dance party for the whole family with songs flavored techno, jungle, reggaeton, hip-hop and more!

As a solo act or with her band, The Rockstars, Super Stolie has entertained children and families at the Taste of Chicago, Navy Pier, Chicago Botanic Gardens, countless park district band shells, libraries and festivals.  Her live show is always a high-energy experience, encouraging children to dance and freeze, hop and balance, and finish it all off with a ‘Rockstar Jump’ and a high five.  Super Stolie’s original songs are so catchy that kids will skip away with the tunes in their head and positive messages to boot!
